Jakarta to promote itself as a golf tourism destination

The Jakarta administration will actively promote the city as a golf tourism destination to attract more foreign visitors to the capital, an official has said.

Ongky S. Hardjakusumah, an assistant to the city development administration, said that Jakarta, with its incredible golf courses, is expected to evolve into a golf tourism destination like Batam and Bali. These islands have successfully developed golf as a tourism pull.

Garuda Adds Direct International Flights to Bali from Perth and Osaka

After protests from the tourism industry in Bali that Garuda Indonesia not scrap Bali as the airlines second hub, Garudas President Director, Emiersyah Satar finally confirmed that Garuda will continue to operate direct flights to Bali from abroad, reports Kompas daily. As a matter of fact, Garuda plans to expand its international network so that passengers may have a choice of alternatives, for tourists to fly direct to Bali, and for businessmen direct to Jakarta, said Emirsyah.

New seedling center in Senayan to supply parks
